28 Palms
Back to Fremont community index

28 Palms is known as an affordable residential community, offering a pleasant blend of newer and longer-term, established owners. Prices toward the “starter” end of the Fremont real estate market make this area particularly attractive to first time owners.
The name, 28 Palms, originates from the more than 40 tall palms planted in the early development days of the neighborhood in the mid-1960s. Since then, a good number of the original ranch-style homes have grown skyward as well, as new owners remodel and—in many cases—add a second level to the house.
The location of the community offers a quiet setting, but one easily accessible via major streets. It’s situated between Mowry Ave. and Stevenson Blvd. just east of I-880.
Anyone hoping to make a start in a single-family residential community in Fremont should definitely take a very good look at 28 Palms.
